Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Cases

A spinal cord injury most commonly occurs due to a sudden blow to the spine that damages or dislocates vertebrae. The spinal cord does not necessarily have to be severed to result in a severe injury. Some spinal cord injuries have a good prognosis, while other injuries to the spinal cord can result in complete paralysis.

Over ten thousand people in the United States suffer spinal cord injuries annually, with over 200,000 people already living their lives every day suffering the consequences of a spinal cord injury.

Motor vehicle accidents are a major cause of spinal cord injuries, with falls and injuries related to sports activities following close behind as factors in this catastrophic injury. Emergency medical treatment and aggressive rehabilitation has come a long way in recent years to minimize the damage and restore functional abilities in some cases.

There is no way, at the present time, to reverse the effects of a severe spinal cord injury. However, recent advances in research and technology have improved the chances of a certain level of recovery from this devastating injury.

The emotional, physical and the financial burden of coping with a spinal cord injury is immeasurable. The cost of medical treatment and continuing care can total hundreds of thousands of dollars each year.

Please contact the Phoenix, Arizona office of spinal cord injury attorney Jerrold A. Mayro of The Mayro Law Firm today for a no-cost consultation to protect your legal rights and get you the financial compensation you may entitled to.

The Client & The Rental Car

A new client recently contacted me. He was injured in an auto collision. It's important to understand what a new client is feeling and what are his or her concerns. A new client can feel fear, confusion and uncertainty besides physical pain. He or she may feel isolated because their auto is undriveable. Being without a car can limit your world very quickly.

That's why finding out as fast as possible the other's driver's insurance company and getting it to authorize a rental car is always at the top of my to do list.

When approached and asked, many insurance companies will authorize use of a rental car so the client does not have to pay for it. And if the careless driver's insurance company waits too long or doesn't respond, then we can look to your own insurance company to authorize a rental as long as you have that coverage.

Taking the burden off you so you can get on with your life is what Jerrold A. Mayro wants to do for you.
